**Master Duti's //Essential Vinaya for Daily Use//** (毗尼日用切要). Master Jianyue Duti (見月讀體, 1601-1679) compiled a collection of about 50 gathas for daily use by Buddhist monastics. The original Chinese can be found online here: https://tripitaka.cbeta.org/X60n1115_001. A very, very loose English paraphrase can be found in Thich Nhat Hanh's Stepping Into Freedom. There is a very interesting blog post (in both English and Chinese) by a Buddhist nun discussing Duti's "Essential Vinaya" and its relationship with the Avatamsaka Sutra can be found here: http://www.cttbchinese.org/fayubinfen/?p=10521 | **Master Duti's //Essential Vinaya for Daily Use//** (毗尼日用切要).
